PBI shortcut is an uncrimped, unlubed (no finish) version of PBI fiber cut to 0.125 or 0.250 inch. PBI short cut is an excellent reinforcement fiber for high heat applications such as brake pads and rocket motor insulations. PBI short cut fiber has been used to replace asbestos in many high heat fiber reinforcement applications.
